As well as a prompt post, could we have a rec/requests post, please?
I can't believe I hadn't thought of that yet!
Well, requests are like prompts, aren't they? But a rec post, I'll whip one up right now!
Are you thinking of having a delicious/pinboard/something that helps people find fics and prompts a bit easier?
In theory, but I'd need somebody to volunteer to do it. I don't know how to do those things.
Every livejournal post has that option.
Go to the ficmeme entry, here, http://gleedsm.livejournal.com/951.html
And up at the top is a row of buttons. Click the one that looks like a pushpin tack, and then check the ticky box next to "someone comments on this entry"
You can track every livejournal post ever. I know, because I track ALL the fic memes this way, lol.
Would you like to affiliate with or let us promote Glee-AU-Meme? A community for Glee fans to write, prompt, and share their desire to see the Gleeks in all sorts of different worlds and times. We allow kink prompts as well, like the world where everyone is a dom/sub AUs.
Sure. You can post a promotion if you like. I don't have a list of affiliates for this comm yet, but you're welcome to promote!
New Comm Seeking Promo Permission
Heya. I and a couple others are hosting a klaine writing challenge starting in a couple weeks and we'd like to be able to advertise here, it that's fine with you. The comm is Klaine Madness

I don;t have a livejournal account, hence me being anon. I'm not sure i'm even doing THIS right.
Is there a way that I can fill promps if I want? How do I do that? Do i just do it like comments on the prompt?
yes, just reply to the prompt, but when you go to post, chage the subject line to read "Fill" or "filled" and list the appearing kinks.
I just got home, I'm going to check it out now.

hello, i'm the "different anon here" from the current situation (http://gleedsm.livejournal.com/951.html?thread=320439#t320439
) on the fic "unclaimed." i stopped replying when the author first requested this, but as i see it there are currently two problems. firstly, i think the discussion should probably be frozen because it's starting to turn into a dogpile, which is the last thing I want to have happen to an author on a fic meme. and secondly, the story includes character bashing, which is clear if you read it, but also even the author admits to the character bashing. this violates the rules of the meme, but the author seems to think it's okay to just warn for it and continue on unfettered. i think it would be a good idea to really consider whether or not the meme really does outlaw character bashing, and if so, enforce that rule accordingly, by screening or freezing or whatever other magical LJ tool there exists.
I haven't had a chance to look at any of the thread yet, first I was sleeping then running errands.
However, it does NOT violate the rules of the mean to turn a character into a villain, or to have the other characters bash them within the fic. It only counts as character bashing if an author says horrible things in their notes or comment replies, or if a commenter rips into a character in comments. Negative character interpretations within a story aren't bashing. I'll check it out in a minute.
People are starting to get pretty damn mean in the comments of the fic titled "Unclaimed". I think it's getting needlessly hateful. Could you maybe step in?
Just got home, checking it out now.

I came herem unsure to what I should do. I may have let two comments that can be read as rude. I didn't intended, but my emotions got the best of me. I do strongly belive in the things I said, but I don't want to create a bad situation in here, so I glued both links here. I can erase them due to anonymous posting, but if you want you can erase them, and if it truly is offensive, I would like to know, so I could avoid other problems like that.
Like I said, those were huge problem for me, at point of making me trully want to more than offensive, but I don't want in any way couse problems to the community.
I would also like if you could talk to the author, so maybe she could have more filter when dealing with her comments. She may think it's just meta and explaining, but it can hurt people that trully live d/s relationships.
Well, I haven't been able to check the second comment because you gave me the link to the whole fill.
I will share your comment with the author, but I can't really tell her how to write or what to say. I myself have had to remind myself that this fic is an Alternate Universe, so that my understanding of D/s in our reality might not apply there.
I'm headed out the door right now, but I will try to contact Thali tonight to talk about things.
Please link me directly to that second comment if you can find it!

Last "Unclaimed" fill
I think the last fill needs a warning for the severe and cruel punishment, I know it's expected by the nature of the meme to read punishments, but I found that really cruel and it freaked me out, I don't know about the meme rules about that but a simple warning would be nice
Re: Last "Unclaimed" fill
OKay, I've spoken to the author about your complaint (I'm about 5 chapters behind so I hadn't read that part yet) and she tells me you already commented on the fill itself.
Thali has apologized for accidentally triggering anyone. Because of the way LJ works, she can't go in and edit a replied to post. I'm not going to force her to delete and repost, because accidents happen and she already has over 30 comments on that part.'
She's promised to try harder to remember trigger warnings for every punishment scene. Honestly, she's usually really good about remembering all relevant trigger warnings, but we all make mistakes. I'm sorry there's nothing we can really do. If she decided to delete and repost that's up for her.
In the future, if you have a problem with something an author has done, please comment here first.
I'm very sorry you were triggered. Hopefully it won't happen again.
